The school will
Our commitments to every family
Be available during school opening hours to support partnership and cooperation between home and school.
Contact parents if there is an emergency related to health or safety.
Arrange to meet parents if there are concerns or problems that affect their child's learning.
Keep parents informed of what is being taught by sending home the class timetable and sharing information about planned curriculum activities each term.
Keep parents informed about pupil progress through Individual Education Plan meetings (two per year). Parents will also be informed of their child's day and provided with a 'window on learning' via Seesaw, the termly Newsletter and social media posts.
Strive to develop pupils' communication, play, social and emotional, mobility, independence, and readiness for learning skills.
Acknowledge and celebrate pupils' progress and achievements through class discussions, reward systems, assemblies and in reference to the school's Citizen Skills Award Scheme.

Parents & carers will
What we ask of our families
Ensure the school has a minimum of 2 available emergency contacts at all times.
Make arrangements to collect their child in the event of an emergency.
Attend meetings about the child's Individual Education Plan and Annual or 6-month Reviews.
Contact the school if there are concerns or problems that may affect their child's learning.
Work in partnership with the school and facilitate learning at home where possible.
Share information with the school (via the Seesaw inbox, email or telephone) about their child's wellbeing, or any significant events or changes of circumstances — e.g. a house move or new family member.
Support the school's policies on positive behaviour and sickness in school.
Adhere to the Parent/Carer Code of Conduct.
Minimise avoidable disruptions to school attendance.
Ensure that their child attends school dressed in weather-appropriate clothes that can get wet or dirty, and send in plenty of spare clothes.
