Welcome to the Primary Department at Warmley Park!
Our Warmley Park Early Years Curriculum uses a playful and joyful approach to engage learners and encourage exploration. It’s main aims are to enable learners to develop curiosity, establish a main way in which to communicate their basic needs and to form emotional connections with those around them so that they feel safe and secure. Key workers are assigned to support the individual development of each pupil, in line with each learner’s EHCP. Learners will be immersed in sensory rich play experiences alongside short-structured activities. Our Early Years Curriculum is extended until the end of Year 2 to give learners maximum time to gain foundational knowledge, and develop their readiness for learning skills.
Learners in Early Years can expect to learn about dinosaurs and insects, and listen to and engage in stories such as Dear Zoo and The Jelly Fish Jiggle.
