Our approach
Keeping our pupils safe online is a key part of our commitment to safeguarding. Our approach to online safety is built around protecting and educating pupils, staff and families. We recognise that pupils may encounter a range of online risks, and we work to ensure every member of our community is equipped to navigate the digital world with confidence.
Online risks we address
Inappropriate content
Exposure to content that is harmful, distressing or age-inappropriate online.
Unsafe interactions
Contact with people online who may not be who they say they are, or who may cause harm.
Harmful behaviour
Unkind, bullying or abusive behaviour directed at or by pupils in online spaces.
Scams & financial risks
Online scams, phishing, or financial exploitation targeting children and families.
How we teach and support
In the classroom
Through a carefully planned curriculum, pupils learn how to use technology safely and respectfully, protect their personal information, and seek help if something worries them. We promote positive online behaviour and encourage pupils to treat others with kindness — both online and offline.
Working with families
We work closely with parents and carers to support safe online practices beyond school. By providing guidance, resources and clear communication, we help families understand the changing online world and the steps they can take to keep children safe.
